Hello,

Here at Small Critter Rescue we are willing to help people who can no longer look after there Guinea pigs, Mice, Hamsters , Rabbits etc. We will try to help take critters if people have no room, moving, child got bored, allergies etc.

We will hold the animals for at least a minimum of  7 days, this is so then the little ones  have a chance to settle in. They are then health checked and under go a behavioural assessment before finding them their forever homes.

If they are in need of a companion we will also endeavour to pair them up. If not we will only re-home to people who have a single animal of the same species looking for a friend, unless specified otherwise.

Animals will not just go to anyone and new potential homes will be vetted.I have worked in rescue for a number of years and now work with in the veterinary industry. I am very passionate about animals and all the animals are treated as if they were our own. 

New potential owners will be asked questions on what they can offer our animals . This is NOT a judgment on new owners, but our main priority is the animals.So there safety and welfare is paramount.

Animal adoption contract will need to be signed before any adoption will take place. 

All animal accommodation will have to abide by welfare size and standards. Size measurement will be required.

As we are a home run little organisation and we do ask for specific donations to help cover boarding, vet checks/operations /medical treatment ,food and bedding costs.

Adoption fee's

Donation Price's will vary depending on specific animals. WE ARE A NON-PROFT RESCUE. 

We are a home run rescue  so we have a limited space for animals we can take into our care. We also rely on our foster homes to help us so then we can help more animals in need.

Animals  being surrendered /coming into our care:

if you wish to surrender your pet please email us on smallcritterrescuesomerset1@outlook.com - Please give us as much details about the animals and reason why you are needing to surrender them in your email. 

If people know/think that the animals are pregnant/has a medical condition please don't feel you have to lie about this to us as we are happy to help and it will just give us the heads up to arranging the best treatment plan needed or bedding material needed for nests for those particular animals.
